Monthly Planner Setup: January 2020

Good evening!

This is my monthly planner spread for January. I made sure to make two consistent days during the week to write one to two blog posts on those specific days. I made sure to add in each week a designated day for self-care. I obviously blocked out some appointments due to privacy but you can kind of see the picture there with that. I also included a reminder for how I wanted to post my blogs on those days and made sure to add in two specific days for a date night. Once my courses begin on the 13th then every Monday/Tuesday (dependent upon due dates) will be discussion posts due for all my courses. Most of the courses I've taken in the past the discussions are due later on Sunday with responses due the same day as well. However, this last semester I got into a routine of doing discussions for one class on Tuesday (was the only course that had discussions) and so I wanted to keep that routine going for this semester. It will definitely depend on the due dates as I've had professors in the past want you to write the discussion by Wednesday and respond by Friday. Either way I am sure I will be able to make it work in order to keep my discussions due on the specific day unless due dates determine that for me.

Weekend Time!

Hey everyone!
It has been awhile since I've posted. Life has been pretty busy for me especially because I've had finals week all last week and this week. I was also sick with a stomach bug for two days last week. Luckily it started on Sunday so I only had to miss one day of work this past week. Some things that I've been trying to work on this past week is stress and conflict. Sometimes in my work I come across conflict more so when you are working with multiple people in a room. A lot of the time you may have to bite your tongue and in my position it is not my place because I'm only an assistant. Who am I to tell someone else how to do their job? Especially if they have been told countless times. I've struggled with conflict in my work a lot of times and I've been stressed from this so I try not to bring it home to bother me, and I try to focus on how I can be better and if it continues to persist how can I approach this in a kind way.

Busy Bee Type of Week

Happy Wednesday!
It is almost the end of the week and I am so ready for the weekend. I've been so busy this week with final assignments in my college courses. Not only that I worked a 9 1/2 hour shift on Monday and Tuesday at work. I'm finally feeling the exhaustion today as I woke up with a headache. I hoped I'd feel better throughout the day but I got another headache in the afternoon. Luckily I've been seeing a medical massage person for my dislocated jaw for the last few months, and he also sees me for my neck or shoulders. Since other parts of my body compensates for my pain it generates towards my neck or shoulders sometimes. I ended up taking more Tylenol afterwards since it still didn't really 100% go away.. I hate lingering headaches/migraines.

Today was also the first day I had to take Lyft to work since my husband got a new job and it is about 20-30 minutes from our apartment. I don't drive yet and we only have one car at the moment. I did obtain a permit when I was like 22 but I had no way to actually practice nor take the test so I never did anything about it afterwards. Since I will have an opportunity to purchase my first vehicle next year then I am going to start driving, practicing, and then take the test. I might even go ahead and take a on the road refresher course to be safe. So this week has been a very busy week. I'm also trying to correlate in some of my blogging more throughout the week so be on the lookout for some random posts or DIY stuff.

What have you all been up to this week?

New Planner

Happy Monday!

Hi everyone! A few weekends ago I was at Staples and I found the cutest looking planners EVER! I haven't used a planner in so long as you know from a previous blog post on what I use to plan my college courses. I could never get into a planner and most all planners I used I tried to make it into something I was looking for and it never turned out just right. Until I found this planner at Staples and I had to get it. I'm going to utilize both my power planner app on my computer as well as the actually planner from Staples to see how it works for me.
I love so much about this planner including these amazing stickers that it came with. I also love the features that is included in the planner, so lets have a look at it!

How I Plan my Coursework

Good morning everyone! I wanted to type up a quick post about my planning and habits before I made my breakfast and headed off to work for the day. I love planners, and anything planning related. I can watch planning videos on YouTube and fall in love with anything the person shows. At one point I had a whole collection of stickers, washi tape, a ton of pens, etc. I even had a collection of different types of planners, but none of them worked well for what I needed. The way my mind works is very simple and practical in a way if that makes any sense. I loved the whole process of putting my planner together with color and stickers. My only problem with the planners in front of me were that I never bothered to look at them and this resulted in me missing assignments or procrastination.
